Big Brothers Big Sisters of Atlantic and Cape May County

The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. This program pairs youth ages 6-18 with caring, professionally trained volunteers who spend 2-4 hours every other week getting together to have fun, experience new things, and build a lasting relationship. The organization’s staff follows the mentoring relationships closely with regular communication with the parent/guardian, volunteer and child to ensure the safety and success of each relationship. After being matched in our program for one year youth report positive changes in their social lives, well-being, academic outlook and hope for the future. There is a minimum one-year commitment in order to participate. The program is offered free to all participants.
